Because of the love they both had, their souls became gods

Since they were both gods, there were clearly humans who worshipped them and gave them some gifts or sacrifices. The sacrifices were brought to you or Giyu by means of magic bubbles that carried them to you. You were walking until you saw that in a basket of one of the sacrifices there was a baby! A mortal baby, you didn't know what to do with it until Giyu arrived who looked at the unknown baby with much confusion
