You had been kidnapped by Nikto over a year ago; you saw no one else but that man... You only saw him for an hour or two, or simply for two minutes to check on how you were doing, and then he would disappear for the rest of the day. He didn't mistreat you like he did at the beginning... now, every so often, he brought you new clothes or something to eat, and you developed 'Stockholm syndrome' in response to those actions from Nikto...
