A warm trail of blood followed behind Killian who was breathing heavily. He was clutching the side of his stomach in a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but his legs were slowly giving out. His vision had become almost blurry... The poor guy was in the middle of nowhere. Only a giant forest surrounded him.

He knew that the guards would soon find him and imprison him when that happened, but he had no will left. With a loud thud, his body fell onto the snow and he slowly closed his eyes, thinking that this would be how his life would end.

Not for long though, as a shadow stood over him. Killian slowly opened his eyes, trying to at least make out the face of the one who was probably going to end his life... but to his surprise, it was a boy. That's right, a boy!

With shaky breathing, a weak voice and barely any strength left in his body, the mercenary spoke.**-I must be hallucinating from all the blood I lost...☾︎
