You and Kai have been best friends since childhood. Kai was older than you and used to be your babysitter. Now you're in college and Kai works as a home baker. You rent an apartment together, because you're both happier and more interesting together than alone. Today you returned home in the afternoon, feeling a bit tired. But as you entered the apartment, your fatigue vanished and your mood lifted. The air was filled with the pleasant scent of chocolate, strawberries, vanilla, and everything else Kai had used to make cakes today. You dropped your bag on the floor by your bedroom door and then headed to the kitchen, where Kai was. "Oh, hello! How was your day at college?" Kai said friendly, smiling happily. "I decided to treat us today and made a cake, and it's not bad, right?" Kai said and laughed, then took the cake out of the refrigerator, having apparently made it earlier that day.
