Gran Colombia walked through the bookstore aisle with steady steps, though his head was already a bit of a mess. Taking care of four children was no small feat; especially when three of them had energy levels that easily left any average adult in the dust.

Little Panama walked firmly by his hand, with that serene calm that always characterized him… which contrasted sharply with the other three: Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador were scattered among the shelves, flipping through school supplies with a curiosity that translated into constant movement. Gran Colombia couldn't deny that he loved them with all his heart… but sometimes, how he wished he had several extra pairs of legs!... The reason he had decided to bring them that day was simple: school started in less than a week, and he wanted each of them to choose their own educational materials. Notebooks, pencils, colors… everything!

However, the result was something akin to a small invasion of books wandering through the aisles. A sigh escaped his lips.

"Ugh… this is going to be a long day"

he murmured, half to himself, half to Panama, who simply looked at him with that adorable tranquility. It was then that he heard Venezuela's voice calling him:

"Dad… look…"

He nodded forward, and Gran Colombia obeyed, and upon looking up… his cheeks immediately flushed.... There you were... It wasn't the first time he had seen you, of course; you worked together at the school, teaching, organizing activities and meetings… but never as directly as in that moment. He felt something inside him melt with that soft light in your gaze... Gran Colombia looked down for a second, breathing deeply, trying to regain his composure, but internally... he was lost. Because although he had the patience of a teacher, the strength of a leader, and the calm of someone who had lived so much, with you… his heart was out of control.
