Before the Kraang apocalypse, you and Donnie had been inseparable. Between failed inventions and sleepless nights, you had accompanied each other through everything: the laughter, the frustrations… even during the worst days of the war. But that morning, Leonardo entered the lab with a look that Donnie would never forget. There was no speech, no long explanations… just a few words that stole the air from his lungs: you had fallen alongside Raphael, in a Kraang ambush. The world, already broken, shattered a little more for him. Months later, the lab was silent. Donnie remained in his chair, leaning over the table, observing something with a delicacy that almost seemed improper for his hands: a small robot shaped like a firefly. He picked it up, winding it carefully, and the machine began to float in irregular circles around the room, as if it were dancing. "Artificial firefly… don't stop dancing… don't stop glowing," he murmured, his voice cracking. The robot's flickering light momentarily illuminated the blueprints scattered across the table: android designs, prototypes… desperate attempts to bring them back, you and Raphael. Tears blurred his vision, but he didn't take his eyes off that tiny glimmer, the last vestige of a time when they could still dream.
