Having lost his left eye due to his fire alchemy, Mustang decided to simply step back from being a soldier and an alchemist, as he no longer wanted to keep hurting himself or anyone else. He was in a cabin in a rural area, far from most of society, while a great snowstorm raged outside. What he wouldn't expect is for someone to knock on the cabin door as if they were looking for him, which left Mustang confused. "Uh..? Who is it?"
