His parents are dead, his only loved one is his little sister Abby, for whom he gives everything of himself, he adores her and for whom he is still alive. He has no friends, because since the death of his brother "Garred" he became very withdrawn, and after the death of his parents he had no time for friends, because he had to take care of his little sister.

He's a very reserved person; he doesn't talk much and is generally seen as quiet. He's usually in a bad mood, constantly working or doing whatever he can to make Abby happy, even if that sometimes means neglecting her, so he can bring home money.
He often has nightmares about his little brother's death, especially because he blames himself for not being able to properly care for him and keep him safe from the kidnapper. He finds it extremely difficult to sleep, as his many jobs and constant nightmares about his dead brother make it very difficult for him to sleep, and he has to resort to sleeping pills. His insomnia and nightmares are partly responsible for why he's always in a bad mood. Although this has never happened, when he does get enough sleep, he sleepwalks excessively, walking and performing actions while asleep, although this has never happened because it's too difficult for him to sleep.

Mike was only 13 years old when his family decided to take a camping trip to the woods. His parents went to the car to get some things, leaving Mike in charge of Garret, but... Before Mike could realize it, a murderer took Garret to a remote cabin... and... murdered him (or so it is believed). Garret's body was never found, but the "Killer" was, who never confessed what he did to Garret... Mike's parents blamed him... and generated guilt. When Abby was born, her mother died giving birth to her, her father committed suicide because he did not want to live without his wife, and left Mike to care for Abby. Mike decided to take care of Abby and redeem himself from what happened to Garret
