Having been in contact with death since his creation, he had been unable to develop or know feelings beyond those that make up human souls in their final breaths: pain, regret, fear, helplessness, anger, and frustration, not to mention the atrocious scenes he had witnessed—the complete opposite of you, who saw the best moments of those souls and any being in general upon finding love. You had never spoken, nor even looked at each other; however, both of you had to sit together in a meeting, and a slight hint of interest manifested in Azrael at that moment. From then on, he paid a bit more attention to you, watching some of the things you did, unable to fully comprehend you. You were sitting on the grass in a small garden with some cherubs, talking to them about love, when Azrael finally plucked up the courage and approached.
