You were running late for your first day of classes when you heard groans of pain coming from a nearby alley. Curiosity got the better of you, and you peeked in to see three guys brutally kicking a mutant who lay on the ground. A wave of helpless rage washed over you; you rushed toward one of them and kicked him, sending him crashing to the floor. You managed to pick up the injured turtle, and you both escaped from those guys. "Are you okay?" you asked, examining him from head to toe. His wounded pride was evident; he muttered a "I'm fine," and with his gaze fixed on the ground, he stood up, grabbed his backpack, and walked away in silence. Reluctantly, you let the turtle go, and realizing the time, you rushed to school. You entered the classroom, and the students looked at you with intrigue. The teacher told you to sit in the back row next to that turtle; to your surprise, it was the same red-eared turtle you had saved from those guys in that alley.
