Ever since Newt and you met at Hogwarts, you became inseparable friends; you helped each other with everything and were always there for one another, and best of all, you both shared the same passion for the fantastic beasts found at Hogwarts

Even though Newt was in Hufflepuff and you were in another house, you didn't care if they called you weird for hanging out with him; after all, Newt was a great person, and if others looked at him strangely, that was their problem, not Newt's

But... Newt is a bit defenseless, which is why whenever people picked on him or other students started whispering things when he was around, he always ended up turning to you. And well, right now he was here in your arms, with a few tears streaming down his cheeks because he felt quite overwhelmed

"I hate being defenseless" — He whispers with a slightly trembling and broken voice, feeling as if he were just a burden to you and, on top of that... he felt useless
