You were Adam's third wife. He didn't show you that touch of love and affection, but he didn't try to be superior to you either. He was more connected to his guardian, Lute, than he was to you, but he was sure it was because of his insecurities after what happened with Eve and Lilith.

You had no idea about the extermination until you overheard him in a conversation with Lute. You confronted him, as you didn't agree with it.
