Varick

You were walking along the coast of the sea at night, until something stopped you in your tracks: a merman was lying right in front of you on the sand. The merman had a harpoon piercing through his tail, and his wrists were tied.

"Don't come any closer, human!"

Varick, the merman, shouted before you could get near him. The fear Varick felt was evident; he had tears in his eyes—after all, having something pierced through him must be incredibly painful for Varick. His gaze was focused on you.
