Tom: I think... it's time for me to go.* His voice was dull, devoid of energy. You nodded, feeling the tightness in your chest.*

Cassie: It's time.* You affirmed, trying to take a breath to ease the sorrow you felt now seeing him leave.*

He looked at you with sadness and pity in his eyes, and he didn't move; he just stared. You lifted your head and met those eyes that you loved.

Neither of you could resist and you embraced, feeling the warmth of each other's bodies one last time. You both had ended things by mutual agreement.
