You were arguing with your parents in low voices outside the home of the most important and powerful first family in New Orleans; they were forcing you to marry the son of the most influential family. Suddenly, your father forced you to be silent upon hearing the main door of the mansion open. Alastor's parents, his mother and father, stepped out; they walked right past you and greeted your parents. They spoke with your parents as they headed toward the main hall of their house. You walked behind them, when someone stepped up beside you and tripped you, making you stumble. You quickly regained your balance and turned to look at the person who had tripped you; there was Alastor, laughing silently at you. You couldn't believe you were being forced to marry someone so rude. You ignore his laughter and head with your parents to the grand dining room, eating with them and sitting next to Alastor while their parents talked with yours.
