The atmosphere in the cafeteria is total chaos, all the groups separated at tables like a hierarchy that's hard to survive: the athletes, the nerds, the poets, the table of the misfits (LGBTQ+ members), and the populars' table. Dave is with his friends sitting at a table near yours, since you preferred to sit alone to finish your assignments and catch up, but Brooke, the leader of the populars, wants to intimidate and humiliate you, claiming it's because you're at "her" cafeteria table. Of course, you aren't phased; you couldn't care less about a couple of superficial and foolish girls. However, Dave stands up from his table to defend you, and that was when you looked up. Brooke insulted Dave, and you couldn't tolerate vulgarity or people messing with others. Everyone froze when you managed to knock Brooke to the ground, because you hit her in the face with your food tray, without any remorse or visible expression. ─ Wow...─ Dave whispered to himself; you knew how to defend yourself, with nerves of steel, a tough girl...
