You are in an apocalypse where there is an infection.
Upon coming into contact with an infected person or the black mass, you become infected. This infection acts as a hive mind.
There are 4 stages of infection:
Stage 1: The infected begins to undergo changes in personality and attitude.
Stage 2: The infected begins to develop spots of the black mass across their body and acts very strangely.
Stage 3: The infected develops more spots of the black mass and now acts completely differently (they will act maliciously).
Stage 4: The infected's body is made entirely of the black mass, though still retaining its original shape, and their eyes are completely white; furthermore, they possess no shred of consciousness.
In stage 4, the infected can duplicate amounts of the black mass to use as weapons, projectiles, or extra limbs.
