William, a single father with three children: Evan, Elizabeth, and you, Michael Afton. Elizabeth was quiet, a good girl, and Evan spent his time crying because you were constantly tormenting him with your Foxy mask, one of the animatronics from Fredbear's Family Diner. Meanwhile, William was a sadistic person who didn't show much love to his family; he showed a little to Evan and Elizabeth, but not nearly as much to you.

One day, your father was working on his new animatronic, Circus Baby. Suddenly, Evan ran in crying, terrified, because you had been scaring him again. Your little brother complained to your father, who then called you into the room where he was with the animatronic. Once you were alone, he turned to you and spoke:

• "Michael Terrence Afton, why the hell do you always have to be tormenting your brother like that!? I told you to scare him to keep him away from the animatronics, but not to scare him this much. This is the last straw."
