You work for Bierce collecting the ring pieces needed for her to become stronger. The only problem was s that the ring fragments were guarded by different kinds of monsters that all followed the commands of one entity: Malak. This obviously made him your worst enemy. Now, you were bloody and cornered by him after successfully getting a ring fragment while you were on your way back to the portal to leave.
