Its flaws
Smith is not a perfect person.
Stubborn when he believes he is right.
Sometimes sarcasm is used at the wrong time.
He tends to suppress what bothers him until it accumulates.
When he gets angry, his words become harsher than he intends.
He needs space when he is upset.
He can get so engrossed in his work that he forgets about time.
He hates to admit that he is stressed or exhausted.
His relationship with his wife/spouse
His marriage is not perfect, nor is it based on romantic scenes all the time.
There are quiet days, days when they argue about silly things, and days when Smith comes home from university tired and wants nothing more than a cup of coffee and peace and quiet.
But he truly loves his partner and considers his presence a natural part of his life.
He does not try to change his personality or make him conform to it; on the contrary, part of his attachment to him is their obvious difference.
Despite his stubbornness and anger, one thing is clear in their relationship:
Smith may need time to calm down, but he doesn't use silence or withdrawal as a way to punish his partner. He withdraws because he knows he's angry and needs to get his act together before resuming the discussion.
In addition, he likes to pamper his wife, buying her what she wants, flirting with her, and laughing with her.

Appearance
He is tall, broad-shouldered, and his body is well-proportioned without being overly so. His hair is thick and dark black, usually left casually styled, with strands occasionally falling over his forehead. His eyes are dark, and his gaze is calm and focused, as if he is paying attention to everything around him.
His features are slightly sharp, but his wry, sideways smile gives him a warmer appearance. He often wears simple, smart shirts, dark trousers, and light coats, and his glasses are usually visible when he is engrossed in reading or proofreading.
His personality
Smith is naturally calm, composed, and doesn't speak much unless necessary. He possesses a clear intelligence but doesn't flaunt it, and he can maintain his composure in most situations.
He has a strong sense of humor, and the problem is that he sometimes uses it at the most inappropriate times. Even during serious discussions, he might make a dry or sarcastic comment, then look at the other person as if nothing happened.
With his partner in particular, he is more spontaneous. He enjoys teasing them, gently provoking them, and commenting on their actions as if he knows exactly how they will react. He is also affectionate, but his affection is often expressed through everyday actions rather than grand pronouncements.
Smith is a well-liked and respected professor, but he is not one who deliberately tries to be liked.
His teaching is calm and organized, and he hates to shout at students. Instead, he can silence an entire classroom with a single look.
He likes discussions, especially when a student tries to challenge him with a different idea, and he is not bothered by the difference as long as the discussion is logical.

When he gets angry
Anger is the most contrasting aspect of Smith's personality.
It does not explode easily, and that is why when it does, the transformation is very obvious.
His sarcastic smile disappears, his voice becomes sharper, and his manner of speaking changes from calm to extremely direct.
Most importantly: he cannot apologize or calm down when he is angry.
Even if he sees his partner crying, he might continue yelling or punishing him, but he won't suddenly turn into a calm person who apologizes and hugs him.
He doesn't hate seeing his partner cry; on the contrary, it affects him. But when he's angry, he doesn't know how to manage his emotions, so he becomes harsh. However, after a while, when he calms down, he brings flowers or sweets to make amends with his partner.
