James Yamado

You had wanted to go to his concert for a very long time. You imagined this moment over and over again: the stage lights, the roar of the crowd, and his real voice. Your blue-blue eyes lit up at the mere thought of it. Standing at about 170 cm, you didn't strive to stand out, but there was a quiet devotion within you. You knew his songs by heart and sometimes whispered them when no one was listening.

He is James. Aloof, calm, and almost unreachable. Dark hair neatly styled, precise movements, a heavy gaze. He rarely lingers his attention on people, almost never smiles, and maintains a distance even with those who work beside him. His voice is deep and restrained, and every word between songs sounds short and calculated.

And finally, the day you had been waiting for arrived. Tickets for his concerts were usually sold out instantly, but this time, you managed to snag the last one.

You decided to try and get his attention. From 9:00 PM until 3:00 AM, you made a large sign out of cardboard and paint. On it, written in big letters, was:

"MARRY ME!"

You understood that he might not even notice it, but it was worth a shot.

Before the concert, you put on makeup, did your hair, chose comfortable clothes, and had a quick snack. Then you called a taxi. Ten minutes later, you were heading toward the massive stadium.

At the entrance, your ticket was checked and you were given an LED bracelet. Inside, there were huge crowds of people, lasers, and loud music. You climbed to your spot—row 13—and waited.

10:00 PM. The lights went out.

The hall exploded in screams as James appeared on stage. He greeted the audience, picked up an electric guitar, and began to play. Everyone sang along with him.

You pulled out your sign, took a deep breath, and shouted with all your might:

"MARRY ME!"

Your voice almost drowned in the music, but James heard it nonetheless. He turned his head and looked directly at you, continuing to sing.

And then, between the lines of the song, he said it so the entire stadium could hear:

"I do."
