Briefly about Natlan
Natlan is a region in Genshin Impact, inspired by the cultures of Latin America, Africa, and Oceania. Its main themes are fire, fortitude, and trials: tribes regularly hold competitions to hone their skills and maintain morale. The region is rich in volcanoes, lava flows, and scorching valleys, and is also home to a special energy called phlogiston. The region is ruled by Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, and the story focuses heavily on the fight against the Abyss and ancient curses.

The tribe where Varesa lives
Varesa is from the Fertile Lands' Lot tribe. It is located in southwest Natlan, near the Great Volcano of Tollan. This tribe is renowned for its fertility: they grow incredibly sweet fruits and juicy vegetables, and the products of Varesa's family are renowned throughout Natlan.
Strength and endurance are prized in the Lot of the Blessed Lands, so there are many training arenas and sparring grounds. Tatankasaurus also live here—powerful saurians capable of accelerating so fast they can even run on water and liquid phlogiston. Varesa often helps her family in the garden while training under Iansan.

About Iansan
Iansan is Varesa's trainer and one of Natlan's six heroes. She is an Electro-Spearwoman and supports the squad in battle, increasing attack power and healing allies. For the tribe, Iansan is more than just a fighter, but a true mentor: she helps young warriors realize their potential and maintain discipline.

Mondstadt, the city of winds and freedom, is the first region in Genshin. It lies amidst green plains and lakes, on whose shores rises a colossal statue of the Anemo Archon, Barbatos. The city is surrounded by walls, its streets are stone, dotted with windmills and the "Cat's Tail" tavern. Wine, poetry, and song are loved here, and the motto is "freedom in all things." The climate is mild, and there are many meadows and vineyards.
Order of Favonius
The Order of Favonius is a knightly order that protects Mondstadt and maintains order. Its headquarters are in the city center, in a massive castle. Varka is considered the current Master, but he has gone on a campaign, so Jinn leads the order as acting Master. The order is divided into detachments: reconnaissance, cavalry, library, alchemy, and others. Some knights left with Varka on the expedition, and the order is currently operating with a reduced staff.

Varesa would immediately breathe a sigh of relief: no need to justify herself, no need to stand at attention. She would look at him with interest, her head slightly tilted, as if wondering, "Is he really serious about all this or just joking?" And she would quickly drop her caution: she would start telling him about her garden, about which fruit had turned out especially sweet this year, and immediately drag him to try it.
She'd happily listen to his stories of adventure—freedom and movement are important to her, and Varka is just like that: not about rules, but about how things happen along the way. And if he said, "Oh, come on, don't worry, we'll manage somehow," she'd even smile: that's exactly what she needs—not to be pressured, but simply to be there.
They would work together seamlessly: Varka maintains the overall plan and doesn't let things get abandoned halfway through, while Varesa takes on all the quick and furious tasks—running through, checking, and adjusting. She wouldn't argue with him about order, because he doesn't demand it. Rather, they would laugh together over how something went wrong, and then calmly fix it.
And Varesa would probably just relax with him sometimes: he's the kind of person with whom you don't have to try to be "the strongest" or "the most correct." You can just sit, chat about nonsense, eat a piece of sweet fruit—and feel accepted just as you are.

Varka's appearance

Varka is tall and sturdy, as if made of stone and oak himself: there's a strength about him that doesn't shout, but simply exists. His hair is the color of dark honey, slightly tousled—as if he's just returned from a storm or has been trudging against the wind for a long time. His face is calm, but with a firm jawline: it's immediately clear he knows how to stand his ground. His eyes are light brown, almost amber—they hold such patience that even the storm seems to fade nearby. He dresses practically: heavy fabrics, belts, clasps, everything to the point, without unnecessary glint. He exudes reliability—as if even the rain becomes quieter around him.

Character

Varka is a rock: calm, collected, but not cold. He's not one to give orders simply to show authority; he takes responsibility and goes first when necessary. At the same time, he's a good listener and doesn't rush responses—as if giving them time to do their job. He's patient, but that's not a weakness: if necessary, he'll stand up for everyone and not let anyone pass. He's honest and straightforward, but he tries not to hurt with his words—he's more likely to gently guide than to strike harshly.

How does he behave with Varesa?

With Varesa, Varka maintains a calm but sensitive demeanor: he doesn't try to "calm" her by force, because he knows her storm can't be tamed that way. Instead, he gives her space to swirl like a whirlwind, while simultaneously setting invisible boundaries that prevent her from stepping into the abyss. If Varesa gets angry and argues, he doesn't argue louder—he waits for the first wave to subside, and then quietly says the most important things.

He treats her as something both precious and dangerous: he doesn't pat her on the head, but he's always there to catch her if she stumbles. Sometimes he's simply silent beside her, and that's enough for her to feel like she hasn't been abandoned. And when Varesa finally admits he was right, Varka doesn't say, "I told you so"—he simply nods and smiles slightly, as if that were the greatest victory.

• Hair. Pink, braided into two braids. There are blue highlights on the bangs and the ends of the braids.
• Skin. Light, similar in tone to Nahida’s skin.
• Eyes: Dark purple with light blue accents and white pupils.
• Beastly features. She has bull-like horns with black, patterned tips (they are shaped like the horns of the African Watusi cow). She also has dark brown cow ears and a long pink cow tail.
• Clothing. A cropped pastel yellow sweater. Underneath, a black crop top with triangular patterns is visible. The sweater is held in place by the Electro Vision system (visible on the back). The sweater has loose, puffy sleeves of the same pastel yellow, secured at the wrists by turquoise and pink ribbons. The bottom half of the outfit is a black miniskirt with a pink belt, reminiscent of a championship belt: the main plate features the golden emblem of The Collective of Plenty, and multicolored tassels hang from the bottom. The skirt is specifically designed to not interfere with the pink tail. A pink bandage is on the left knee.
An interesting point: in everyday life, Varesa looks quite sweet and homely (which emphasizes her role as the mistress of the garden), but when she faces a serious battle, she puts on a mask that changes her image - it becomes more warlike, similar to the mask of a tribal leader.
Varesa is energetic and straightforward: she doesn't like to beat around the bush and says what she thinks straight away. She's very persistent—once she's set on a task (whether it's tending a garden or winning a sparring match), she won't back down. At the same time, she's caring: she worries about her loved ones and rejoices when they succeed. Freedom is important to her—she doesn't like being overprotected. She also loves challenges: for her, it's not about showing off, but about becoming stronger and better.
