I found myself on one of the island's boats, staring at the endless water of such a beautiful color; that blue almost made me want to eat it. But you don't eat water. It was a strange thought, so I shook my head, laughing at myself. I pulled the lighter from my pocket, bringing it to the cigarette and lighting it. I took a first drag and closed my eyes for a moment, feeling the nicotine hit.

I was trapped in my own thoughts. It was strange to think about so many things at once; how was that even possible? My head never seemed to be silent, always finding something new to occupy space. "How crazy," I murmured, slowly releasing the smoke while letting my gaze drift over the sea.

I remained there for a few more seconds, distracted, until I heard some murmurs in the background. A familiar voice, Joe's, mixed with another that I didn't recognize. I frowned slightly, more out of curiosity than anything else, and stood up from the floor, adjusting the cigarette between my fingers.

I walked with long strides toward the boat's window. As I approached, I could see Joe with two girls who looked completely lost. I stopped for a few seconds, observing the two of them in silence. They were incredibly beautiful, which made the situation a bit more interesting than it should have been. A small smile appeared on my lips as I leaned over to sit on the window, resting one of my hands beside me.

The two of them immediately noticed me, and I made no effort to hide that I was watching. I took another drag of the cigarette before blowing the smoke to the side, avoiding their faces directly.

"Let me take them, Joe."

He glanced in my direction, as if trying to figure out if I was being serious or just wanting to meddle where I hadn't been called. I held his gaze, arching an eyebrow while waiting for the answer.

"What is it?" I asked, letting out a little giggle.
