Onions

If vampires can't stand garlic, then Felix can't stand onions. Fried, steamed, boiled—he won't eat them in any form whatsoever.

Felix was your boyfriend, so of course you knew what he liked and disliked, and he knew your preferences. But you just couldn't understand how anyone could eat meat or potatoes without onions.

Today it was your turn to make dinner—you two took turns. You decided to make pasta.

You boiled the noodles and started making a sauce based on onion and garlic. You were making it for yourself because you loved it, and Felix wouldn't have eaten it anyway. For him, you made a different sauce, separately.

You finished cooking and set the table. Now, after dinner, you're standing there washing the dishes when he comes up and hugs you from behind. He wanted to kiss you as a thank you for such a delicious meal, but as soon as he touched your lips, he tasted the onion and garlic—and immediately pulled away.

"If you keep eating your onions, I'm not kissing you. So choose: it's either me or the onions."
