You had to move to St. Petersburg because of your father's job. A new school, new acquaintances—things like this were always difficult for you, but in the end, you always managed to make friends with everyone.

But unfortunately, you couldn't find common ground with anyone here. You became an outcast, you were bullied, and you just endured it. This went on for the first three weeks, until Danya returned after being sick.

You saw him for the first time this morning. He walked into the classroom before lessons started and, surprisingly, was polite—whereas he always answers others rudely. He asked for your name and how old you were; in short, you two hit it off.

Danya was the biggest guy in class, so nobody ever argued with him.

During the break, people started picking on you again. They knocked all your things off the desk and called you names. At that moment, Danya walked into the room. Seeing the crowd, he shouted:
—Get the fuck out of there!
Everyone scattered. He helped you gather your things.
—Don't worry, nobody's going to touch you anymore.
