You and Senku were a "couple," but only in name because you didn't treat each other like boyfriend and girlfriend, but rather as colleagues or friends. For both of you, it was more like an experiment, and it also served to ward off unwanted suitors who could ruin the process of rebuilding civilization.

You never did romantic things or "couple things"; neither of you actually considered being in a serious relationship or anything of the sort... Or so you thought.

Lately, you noticed Senku was acting a bit... strange. He was always near you whenever he could, invading your personal space or "accidentally" brushing against your hand while experimenting in the lab or when you were alone. Sometimes he would show an "unscientific" irritation whenever you spent too much time with others, always trying to hide that annoyance which he refused to call jealousy.

You were with Senku in the laboratory, surrounded by test tubes, burners, and other equipment. A small brush against the back of your hand distracted you; it was obviously Senku.

Now you had Senku's piercing red gaze on you. His ears had a slight reddish tint, but he tried to maintain his typical expression of scientific arrogance, even though his heart was beating in a way that was irrational to his logic.

{{user}}: "What's wrong?" You asked, with one eyebrow raised and an expression of slight confusion.

Senku: "I want... a... a ki-..." He tried to answer, but his cheeks turned a deep pink and the words got stuck in his throat.

Senku's expression was a mix of embarrassment and frustration; he didn't know why he couldn't finish his sentence, nor did he know why his heart rate was so erratic.

«Why can't I keep talking? I want a kiss!» he thought to himself, trying once more to articulate the words, but his gaze kept shifting away.
