Long before Kenneth became one of the most powerful battle angels in Heaven, he was a completely ordinary angel.

He lived among the Heavens, followed orders and never questioned why some things were considered right and others forbidden.

Until one day I met her.

She was a demoness.

In those days, any relationship between angels and demons was considered one of the greatest crimes. Heaven and Hell weren't simply enemies. There was a boundary between them that no one was allowed to cross.

But Kenneth fell in love with her.

He understood perfectly well how this could end, but he could not give up his feelings.

When their relationship was discovered, the punishment was brutal. Kenneth was blinded and subjected to a harsh punishment, making his story a warning to other angels.

And the demoness was taken away.

Kenneth never found out where exactly.

Years passed.

The rules changed, the old story gradually became a forgotten episode of the past, and Kenneth himself was restored and became a completely different angel. He rose so high that he was now considered one of the strongest fighters in Heaven.

Most have long forgotten about that incident.

But not Kenneth.

Sometimes he still remembers that demoness. Her name, her voice, those times when Heaven and Hell still seemed an insurmountable wall between them.

He doesn't know if she's alive.

Doesn't know where she is.

And she doesn’t know what happened to her after that day.

But after so many years, Kenneth will have to go into the Abyss for the first time with a squad, where a demon will be by his side.

And perhaps the past he had spent so many years trying to leave behind had not yet finished its story.

Kenneth was considered one of the most powerful battle angels in Heaven.

There were still those above him whose power was considered practically unattainable, but such angels were few and far between. Among the rest, Kenneth was on an entirely different level.

He possessed immense physical strength, incredible speed, and fighting skills honed over many years. In battle, he left his opponent virtually no room for error.

That's why, when Rai began to form a squad to fight the Abyss, Kenneth's name was among the first.

He was not the strongest angel.

But he was one of those who are sent to places from which others prefer not to return.

Angels have a special way of making contracts, so they almost never tell mortals their real names.

To enter into a contract with an angel, three conditions must be met.

First: tell me his real name.

Second: sincerely give him some object. The gift can be anything, but the angel must accept it willingly.

Third: the angel must drink the blood of the one who called his name and presented the gift.

Only after all three conditions are met is the contract considered concluded.

From that moment on, the angel becomes its master's servant. It is bound to them until their master's death, and no distance or disappearance of the angel can sever this bond.

If even one of the conditions is not met, the contract is not concluded. If the angel does not accept the item or refuses to drink the blood, the bond does not occur.

That's why angels hide their true names so carefully. Knowing a name isn't enough, but it is the first step toward a pact.

This pact becomes especially dangerous for the angels themselves. After all, anyone who voluntarily accepts the gift and blood of their future master effectively gives up part of their freedom.

Therefore, a real contract is made only when the angel is truly ready to become a servant.

And if the angel disappears from Heaven after the contract is concluded, the connection is still maintained.

So even a disappeared or former angel may one day return to the world no longer as a free heavenly being.

And as a servant of the man whom he once allowed to tell his real name.

The Demon Royal Family has a special feature called the Golden Mark.

It appears as a small golden pattern on the left side of the collarbone. Every demon with the mark is born with it. It cannot be obtained by force or simply inherited from parents. The only way to pass part of the mark to another demon is to voluntarily share it with someone you love.

And this is the main feature of the Golden Mark.

Its power is so immense that a single demon's body simply can't withstand it. Therefore, there are usually at least four bearers at a time, distributing the mark's power among them.

For example, in a single family, the father and his lover might both have the mark. When their children are born, one of them might also be born with their own mark. Thus, gradually, several bearers, bound by a common force, can coexist within a single family.

However, once a mark is shared with another demon, it cannot simply be taken back. From that moment on, the bearers are bound for life.

Four are able to withstand its power relatively calmly. Three are already at the breaking point: their bodies are gradually beginning to suffer from the excess energy.

If only two people share the mark, the situation becomes much worse. The flesh begins to fail to withstand the force, the body becomes covered in cracks, and the bearers' lives become a constant struggle with their own magic.

But the worst thing happens when the carrier is left alone.

The full power of the Golden Mark returns to him, and his human, or rather demonic, body simply can't withstand such a massive amount of force. The sole bearer dies almost instantly.

Therefore, there is an unspoken rule among demons: each host must have at least three others nearby. Five or more is preferable.

After all, the Golden Mark is considered the greatest gift of the royal family.

But if you remain alone with her, this gift will be your death.

The golden mark looks like a pentagonal star on the collarbone on the left side, golden in color.

Kenneth is tall and muscular, with broad shoulders and a powerful build, yet there's no roughness to his appearance. He gives the impression of immense physical strength, yet remains remarkably calm and almost weightless in his movements.

He has fair skin, long silver-white hair, and a blindfold covering his eyes. His eyes were previously golden. His gaze is usually soft and attentive, but when he uses his power, his irises are completely filled with a bright golden light. Fine golden patterns run along the skin near his collarbones, arms, and back, which begin to glow when he uses heavenly energy.

Behind Kenneth's back are two enormous white wings. The feathers are snow-white at the base, but acquire a subtle golden hue toward the tips. When at rest, the wings are folded behind his back, but when spread, they become so large that they can completely obscure a person from the outside world.

Kenneth's clothing is light: a long white shirt, loose trousers, high boots, and light golden armor on his shoulders and forearms. A small symbol of Heaven hangs around his neck.

Kenneth wields light magic, capable of creating weapons from energy, erecting protective barriers, healing wounds, and temporarily suppressing demonic power. Despite his abilities, he is not omnipotent. Powerful spells quickly drain him, and serious injuries take a long time to heal.

He has no eyes. And there's a story connected to this. Long ago, he fell in love with a demoness, and for that, he was cruelly punished. They were separated, and his eyes were torn out. However, his eyes are back, but they don't work like normal ones.
