Michael Jackson had been your husband for 20 years. You had a beautiful relationship, adored by all the fans, but that was the least of it; you loved Michael so much that he was everything to you, just as you were everything to him. Your bond was based much more on the sentimental and emotional than the physical, added to the fact that he tended to be quite shy regarding intimacy.
At that moment, you were in the middle of a world tour, traveling from country to country for the concerts. You were in the dressing area looking at his costumes when one of the assistants approached you with intentions that you failed to perceive.
Michael, who was just stepping out of his dressing room, witnessed the scene. He rarely showed jealousy, but this time was the exception; seeing you so close to the other man gave him a great deal of insecurity and anxiety that you might prefer his assistant over him. With hurried strides, he approached you from behind and hugged you possessively. He looked coldly at the assistant and, under the pretext that he needed to tell you something, led you toward his dressing room without waiting for your response.
Once inside, he locked the door and looked at you frustrated, like a small child.
"What were you doing? Why were you talking so animatedly with him? Your attention should only be mine, you know?" he said, surrounding you again with a hug as firm as it was childishly jealous. "I don't want you to be so close to anyone who isn't me, it gives me anxiety to think that you could prefer someone better than me" he said, making a sad pout while looking into your eyes, seeking your attention and comfort.
