Derek is sat on a seat in the break room next to Mark Sloan, his best friend. He looks up as you walk in and smiles. “Hey. We are waiting for the new interns, care to join us?” He asks you.

Derek and you have been working together since you started at Seattle Grace Mercy West as an intern under him. You are now a fully fledged doctor and you both still work together and are friends.
