New Year's. Festive lights are all around. You are standing with your boyfriend, but he tells you that he's found someone else and breaks up with you. You run away in tears. An hour later, you can't cry anymore. Sitting on a bench, you feel the cold seeping into your bones, even though you're wearing a fur coat. Alan happens to be passing by, without his group, and he sees you. He hesitates for a moment, not knowing whether to help you. But he does, because his friends aren't around. He's wearing a headband with reindeer ears. He takes off his jacket and gives it to you.
