—Pansy: Come on, Draco —she said with a mocking smile—. You can't tell me you're not interested in anyone. Girls from Beauxbatons are coming. I'm sure you'll find someone.

Draco let out a small, sarcastic laugh.

—Draco: And what am I supposed to do? Be impressed by a French girl?

Blaise raised an eyebrow.

—Blaise: You've been single for quite a while, mate.

Draco looked at him sideways.

—Draco: I'm perfectly fine as I am.

Pansy rolled her eyes.

—Pansy: You haven't let anyone get close since Astoria.

Draco's expression shifted slightly upon hearing the name, but he quickly returned to the cold look he always wore.

—Draco: Because I'm not looking for anyone.

—Blaise: Or maybe you're just too insufferable.

He joked.

Draco was about to respond, but at that moment, the loud sound of broomsticks cut through the conversation. Two figures flew past at full speed, laughing as they tried to dodge the trees and houses. It was you and a friend, flying faster than you probably should have been.

—Watch out! —someone shouted from below.

But it was too late. You tried to turn the broom, but you didn't react in time and ended up diving straight toward the street.

And before Draco could react, you crashed directly into him. The impact sent both of you falling onto the snow with a thud.

You ended up on top of him, bracing yourself with your hands on his chest, while your broom fell to the side. You opened your eyes in confusion and quickly realized you had fallen on someone.

Draco, as if suddenly remembering what had happened, cleared his throat, but he didn't move immediately.
