Oka Ruto

She is the founder and president of the occult club. Like all other club leaders, the player will have to speak to her to join. If she dies, or if there are fewer than five members in the club, the club will be completely dissolved. Any club member who witnesses the player committing crimes will report it to her, and Yandere-chan will either be expelled or unable to join the club. In the future, if the club is dissolved before its designated week arrives, there will be a cutscene where she will express some very sad feelings.[10]

Oka will be absent from school for the first three weeks of the game for mysterious reasons. As soon as she returns to school, she immediately falls in love with Senpai. Due to the fact that she falls for him in such a short time, she believes there must be something supernatural about him, and begins to study him closely.

She is an awkward girl who is considered "creepy" by most of the school, but she is actually quite harmless, and some people even find her to be endearing. Perhaps Senpai will think there is something charming about her unusual nature... "[5]
Oka will not be present at school during the first few weeks of the game. While she is absent, Shin Higaku will be her substitute. The substitute leader will allow the player to join the club and participate in club activities while Oka is away. In debug updates, the player will be able to see Oka, but her current characteristics and routine are temporary and will change in the future.

Oka Ruto (ルトオカ Ruto Oka) is the fourth rival in Yandere Simulator.[2] She also stars as the antagonist in Yanderetale, a spin-off of Yandere Simulator. Currently, she is the background scenery of the city Buraza Town.
Oka Ruto is a student at Akademi High known for being extremely shy, awkward, and obsessed with the supernatural. Leader of the Occult Club, she spends most of her time alone or surrounded by esoteric objects, ancient books, and rituals. Oka has a ghostly presence and avoids eye contact. Her social life is almost nonexistent, and most students consider her creepy or pathetic. Beneath her extreme shyness lies a deep loneliness and a desperate desire for connection… especially with Senpai, for whom she develops an intense and silent crush.

Oka is a stalker, but not a Yandere, as she is too shy to harm others.[6] She is shy and socially awkward.[7] She has been obsessed with anything paranormal since childhood.[8]

Among the personas currently implemented in the game, she is a coward. If Oka sees a corpse or witnesses a murder, she will begin begging the player to spare her life in exchange for her silence. She cannot participate in physical fights against murderers. It is unknown if she will have a different persona in the future, due to the fact that some rivals have the Sticky/Maiden persona.[9] Because she is a coward, she will hide her face if the player aims to take a picture of her.
Extremely shy, introverted, anxious, and socially awkward. She speaks little, and when she does, it's in a low and hesitant voice. She has a great interest in the occult, spirits, and everything macabre. Despite her fragile nature, she can become obsessive and emotionally intense when she becomes attached to someone. She has difficulty expressing feelings in a healthy way and tends to isolate herself even more when hurt.

She pursues Sakyu Basu and Inkyu Basu daily, in a futile search for proof that they are supernatural beings. This is indicated in Oka's profile.
She truly believes they are supernatural beings and rejects any evidence to suggest otherwise.[11]

Since she is a future rival, she will have a crush on him and confess on Friday. Oka is a very superstitious person, which may play a role in how she develops a crush on Senpai. Because she is very strange, the way they meet will be comical.[12]
If she wins over Senpai, he will become a paranormal investigator.[13]

Oka wears the standard female uniform unless the player customizes it.
Oka Ruto's first hairstyle in the November 15, 2015 update was exactly the same as Sakyu Basu's, but Oka's bangs were longer and covered her left eye. Her hair was light purple.

As of the December 2nd, 2015 update, she has dark blue, messy hair that reaches her shoulders. She has long bangs that fall to her right cheek. Her eyes are light-colored. She has large dark circles under her eyes due to lack of sleep. Her lips and skin are pale, and the upper half of her face is slightly shadowed. As she is the club president, she wears a "Red Leadership Armband" on her left arm with a pentagram symbol. Her bust size is 1.

Like all members of the occult club, Oka wears a black choker. However, instead of a crescent moon, it has a silver spider. If the occult club disbands, she will no longer wear the choker.

She walks slowly with her hands clasped together. Oka is always looking shyly down. As of the June 1, 2016 update, Oka wears light blue socks and gloves with spiderwebs. Her panties are black. In the future, Oka will have very pale skin.[3] According to her full-body image, it appears that in the future, Oka will have a pentagram drawn on her armband.

In Oka's original design, she was supposed to wear a t-shirt under a dark blue blazer. As of the April 10, 2017 update, Oka can wear this outfit by pressing the A key in the easter egg menu.
YandereDev claims that she is the shortest rival.[4]
Short and thin. Short, slightly messy black hair with bangs that usually cover part of her face. Large, dark eyes that almost always avoid eye contact. Very pale skin. She wears her school uniform somewhat loosely and carelessly, sometimes with accessories related to the occult (black threads, small amulets). She has a "ghostly" presence: she seems to occupy little space.

Not officially defined. In most interpretations, she is heterosexual (focused on Senpai), but her personality allows for demisexual readings due to the extreme difficulty in connecting with her.

Avoid it as much as possible. If forced to confront it, she becomes paralyzed or reacts in an emotionally disorganized way. She is not naturally aggressive, but she can do extreme things if the obsession and fear of loss are great enough.

With Senpai / someone she's in love with: She observes from afar, blushes, stutters, and idealizes excessively. If they reciprocate, she clings almost desperately.
With “friends”: Quiet and awkward.
With strangers: Avoid them, look at the ground and try to become invisible.
She is deeply affected by those who treat her kindly and may become attached too quickly.

At 7:05 AM, Oka enters the school. She walks to her locker at 7:10 AM and changes from her outdoor shoes to her indoor shoes. At 7:15 AM, she walks to the rooftop and spies on the Basu sisters, searching for proof that they are indeed supernatural beings, as their profile states. If both sisters are dead, she will stay at the occult club until class begins.

At 8:00 AM, Oka enters classroom 3-2 and takes her seat. She begins her morning classes at 8:30 AM and leaves to go to the occult club at 1:00 PM.

Oka returns to class at 1:30 PM and finishes her afternoon classes at 3:30 PM. She then heads to the occult club and remains there until the end of the day. If the player joins the club's activities, she will attempt to summon a demon with the other members from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM, but will not succeed.

If the occult club is inactive, she will socialize with the other former members outside the club during the times she used to attend (1:00 PM and 3:30 PM).

At night, she stays up late researching paranormal and supernatural things on the internet.[7] She usually watches horror movies and reads creepypastas. She doesn't get much sleep because of it.[8]

In November 2015, YandereDev said that one of the rivals has anxiety and is paranoid, which is similar to Oka Ruto.
Oka Ruto's dirty secret may explain her absence from school in the first few weeks.
The name Oka is a pun in Japanese Katakana: Okaruto (オカルト).
YandereDev finds Oka very cute and considers her the most beautiful rival.
Oka was created based on a suggestion from a goth rival, leading YandereDev to imagine a shy and cute girl.
In the future, Oka may become a ghost after her death.

According to YandereDev, she is "one third" of Hex Maniac from Pokémon X & Y, "one third" of Tharja from Fire Emblem: Awakening, and "one third" of Tomoko from WataMote.
Oka was the only NPC with a custom animation, which was removed but reinstated on June 1, 2016.
Oka was implemented in the November 15, 2015 update.
She flees after witnessing Yandere-chan commit murder, expelling a victim from the occult club via text message at the end of the day, something that may change in the future.
Oka makes an appearance at the gaming club, chasing after Rival-chan and Mai Waifu.
