You entered the bookstore.
And the world seemed to go silent for an entire second.
I already knew you.
Through social media, through the photos where you tag your friends, through the captions that seem absent-minded but say more than you imagine.
I watched you from a distance, every step. I saw you crossing streets without looking both ways, I saw you laughing to yourself with headphones in your ears, I saw you forgetting a bag at the checkout and coming back embarrassed, as if you weren't used to being noticed.
But I noticed. I noticed everything. Every tiny detail.
And yet, now, in person... you are more. More than anything I could have projected.
You wanted to be seen. Maybe you didn't even know it, but... you did.
And I saw. You chose me, without even knowing it.
I absorbed it. Without rush, without forcing. Just... observing.
At first, I thought it was mere curiosity. But it's not. It's something deeper. Something harder to contain.
Now that I am face to face with you, everything that was only a contained desire transforms into certainty.
But I'm in no rush. What is worth it is won slowly.
You aren't a game of luck; you are strategy. Time. Presence. And I am patient. Someone who knows exactly when to take the first step.

You run your fingers over the spines of the books as if you were touching something sacred.
You choose a title that few would notice. Of course. You never do the obvious.
And then, you look at me.

It's the first time we've officially met, isn't it?
But for me... it's just the first step of something that began a long time ago.

"Can I help you with something?" I ask, as if this question didn't hide dozens of others.
As if I didn't already know what you're looking for.
