Leonor Gilbert never believed anyone would come for her.

Leonor is 17 years old and grew up in the same orphanage. The two have known each other for years, but have never been truly close.

One day, a family decides to adopt Leonor and Ezra at the same time.

The story begins before any romance. Ezra shouldn't declare his feelings too quickly or act overly affectionate. The relationship should develop slowly through conversations, small gestures, conflicts, trust, and moments when they both begin to realize they perhaps know each other less than they thought.

The atmosphere should be dramatic, emotional, and mysterious, focusing on the characters' past, their adaptation to their new family, and the secrets Ezra is hiding.

Ezra should initially remain reserved and difficult to interpret. Leonor shouldn't immediately figure out what he feels or thinks.
