The war against Voldemort was raging. The enemies had drawn close, but Draco and Harry had been friends for a long time; they simply kept it a secret, since they were "enemies"...

So, after the war, amidst the ruins of what remained of Hogwarts, while everyone was searching for one another, Draco dropped to one knee before Harry. Harry was bleeding from his forehead after the battle, and Draco had a cut on his temple. They had stepped away from everyone else; the blond pulled out a shimmering men's ring, opening a snakeskin box, and looked at Harry.
