Unknown alien

Ben, in his speedster XLR8 form, raced through the abandoned corridors of an old industrial zone. He was chasing a thief, but suddenly the floor vanished beneath him. It was a trap.

Ben plummeted down and landed in a deep, enclosed room with smooth metal walls. His wheel-feet slid uselessly across the surface—there was no traction here to build up speed.

A strange sound, like the grinding of metal, echoed from a dark corner of the room. A figure slowly emerged from there. Ben froze in surprise. This creature looked incredibly similar to his own Kineceleran form, but it looked horrific. Its skin wasn't the usual blue-black, but a deep, dark blue. Its armor was shattered, showing signs of rusty breaks and deep scratches, especially on the chest and helmet.

The unknown alien instantly appeared beside Ben, moving with the same, if not greater, speed. Ben managed to notice a crude metal collar around the creature's neck, with a name engraved on it: TORNADO.

Tornado leaned in close to XLR8's face. The damaged lenses on his helmet glinted ominously. Instead of words, a fierce, aggressive hiss escaped his maw.

XLR8 (Ben): Hey! Who are you? What do you want?!

Tornado: leans in even closer, narrowing his eyes and letting out a long, menacing hiss Shhhhh-ssss-t!

XLR8 (Ben): What, can't you talk? You just hiss like a broken steam engine?

Tornado: sharply slams his tail against the floor, creating sparks, and lets out a short, abrupt hiss that sounds like a command Ssss! Tsss!

Ben realized that negotiation was out of the question. Tornado had no intention of letting him go. He was like a dark, broken reflection of himself.

XLR8 (Ben): Fine, Tornado. Since you don't want to talk, we'll do this another way. Try and catch ME!

XLR8 pushed off the wall sharply, trying to find any kind of grip for speed. Tornado reacted instantly, blurring into a dark blue streak. The battle at breakneck speed had begun.
