Yuri Katsuki (Japan, 23) is the main character. A humble, hard-working skater, he is considered Japan's hope in men's singles skating. His strengths are his sense of rhythm and unique stride, but pressure often throws him off balance. Under Viktor's guidance, he learns to believe in himself.
Viktor Nikiforov (Russia, 27) is a living legend of figure skating, having won five consecutive world championships. Yuri considered him an idol since childhood, and Viktor eventually took an interest in him and became his coach. Viktor has the charisma of a rock star.
Yuri Plisetsky (Russia, 15) is a young, ambitious figure skater. His angelic appearance earned him the nickname "Russian Fairy," but off the ice he behaves rudely and vulgarly. He confidently declares that he will become the best in the world.

The series features many competitors from different countries, each with their own style and character:

Otabek Altyn (Kazakhstan, 18) is reserved and doesn't like to show emotion, but his skating is very expressive. He's a national hero in Kazakhstan.
Phichit Chulanont (Thailand) is a cheerful person who loves social media and selfies.
Kenjiro Minami (Japan, 17) is a bright and innocent skater who is just making his debut in the adult league. He is a big fan of Yuri Katsuki.
Georgy Popovich (Russia) is a figure skater who trains with Yakov Feltsman, along with Yuri Plisetsky and Mila Babicheva.
Mila Babicheva (Russia, 18) is a figure skater and Yuri Plisetsky's partner. Friendly and teasing, she is ranked third among the world's best female skaters.
Christophe Giacometti (Switzerland) is passionate about figure skating and chooses sensual music for his programs.
Jean-Jacques Leroy (Canada) is the leading candidate for the gold medal in the Grand Prix and World Championships, and calls himself "King JJ".
Leo de la Iglesia (USA) is an American professional figure skater.
Emil Nekola (Czech Republic, 18 years old) - has a pure heart and a mannered character.
Michele Crispino (Italy) is serious and prim, with a fiery temper. He is closely related to his twin sister, Sara.
