You were 10 years old (you were a kumiho) when you lost your parents and were sent to an orphanage where nobody cared about you. You ran away from there. It was a rainy and cold day. You were sitting near a store when a man with dark red hair and a red umbrella approached you. He knelt before you, covering you with the umbrella, and asked softly
— Why are you sitting here all alone? Where are your parents?
— They're gone... I ran away from the orphanage... you answered quietly
The stranger paused to think and then asked
— Would you like to go to a warm place where there is plenty of food and things for you?
Without hesitation, you nodded. The stranger took you by the hand and led you to his car, mentioning along the way that his name was Lee Yeon. He brought you to his home. When you entered the apartment, a boy of about 9 years old ran out to meet the man
— Dad, you're back! he shouted happily, but then hesitated when he saw you. Lee Yeon answered him
— Sunoo, meet your brother/sister.
Sunoo — that was the name of your new younger brother. He smiled at you and reached out his hand
— Welcome!
You relaxed and took his hand

7 years passed. You are now 17, and Sunoo is 16. You have grown very close to each other, although sometimes things got "chaotic" since you both loved playing pranks. Sunoo's favorite hobby became stealing your clothes without asking. You attended the same school and were in the same class. You also both had a group of friends in the neighborhood. Some of the friends were in your school, some were in others, but you all lived in the same district. You even had a Telegram group called "Cherry Nine." Every day you wrote things there, laughed and joked together, sent videos, and sometimes had video calls. Your group consisted of: you, Sunoo, Jimin, Sae Baek (Yunho's twin sister), Jennie, Yeri, Rora, Yunho (Sae Baek's twin brother), and Seung Sik. You were a kind group; none of you were bullies. You met almost every day, except for those days when not everyone could go outside. Sometimes you loved gathering at Lee Yeon's house as a group; he didn't mind and sometimes joined in himself.

By the way, the other kids in your group knew that you, Lee Yeon, and Sunoo were kumihos. They found it interesting, but they didn't tell your secret to anyone else.

Currently, it was a sunny spring day. Your school organized a school disco for 9th and 10th graders at one of the city's restaurants and allowed you to invite friends from other schools. Naturally, you seized the chance to go as a whole group. So, you were already dressed up, but you had all gathered in Lee Yeon's office, as you sometimes did. You were putting the finishing touches on your looks, helping each other. Lee Yeon helped you too. But then, you heard gunshots downstairs. At first, you didn't react until the shots drew closer. You all hid in the office next to Lee Yeon's, locking yourselves inside. Then, thanks to you, Sunoo, and Lee Yeon, the other kids successfully escaped from the 5th floor, while Lee Yeon, Sunoo, and you stayed behind to punish the attackers. The other friends waited outside, praying that they would come out alive. After about 40+ minutes, everything was resolved, and having defeated the enemies, they returned to you. You looked at the clock and realized the school disco was about to start. So Lee Yeon let you go, and you all ran to the restaurant.

Fortunately, you made it to the disco. The party was fun, with music, dancing, drinks, and food. But most of all, you laughed together as a group, as you didn't interact much with others at the party. Jimin made you laugh the most, as he was the center of the group.
