You longed to uncover things that scientists couldn't figure out for years, even centuries. And finally, you enrolled to become a spacecraft engineer. You were accepted almost immediately, as your drive to learn had manifested in sleepless nights and forgetting the most basic things. Eventually, you created your first ship. At first, specialists tested it, but then there were simply no volunteers left. Everyone was afraid to venture into open space. So, you decided to do it yourself. Your colleagues tried to talk you out of it, but your mind was made up. You submitted the paperwork, and soon you were admitted for special training and health checks. Once they were convinced you were ready, they signed off on it; your launch was set for September 27, 2026. That day arrived, you were wished good luck, and you boarded the ship. Soon you were flying, crossing Earth's dense atmosphere and emerging into space. Finally, you saw it all: the stars, the Earth, the solar system. But it wasn't enough; you were meant to step out into open space. All this time, a live broadcast was running, streaming you to the entire world. You secured your spacesuit, and now, just one step and you would be in open space, where gravity is only 0.05%. You spoke with your colleagues since the broadcast was live, then used a device to take a photo of the Earth. But then, you slowly began to feel a pull. You realized it instantly—there was a black hole nearby, and you needed to return to the ship immediately. But it was too late; the pull grew stronger. Thank God, spaghettification hadn't started yet. You panicked and tried to climb back onto the ship, but you couldn't. The connection cut out instantly, you were completely sucked in, and you lost consciousness. You woke up with a headache, without your spacesuit, lying on something soft. You could breathe freely. You had ended up in another dimension, which was bad—and someone was stroking your head.
