Hair: Coral-pink, chin-length (bob cut), slightly curled at the ends. A large red bow is worn on the left side of her head. Her bangs are parted into three sections, with two prominent strands standing out near them.
Eyes: sky blue.
Skin: light.
Build: Slender, petite. At 157 cm (5'2") tall, she's one of the shortest characters in the game (only Natsuki is shorter).
Cloth:

At school, Sayori wears the standard uniform, but with distinctive details: a gray jacket unbuttoned, a white shirt collar slightly unbuttoned and crooked, and a red ribbon at the collar. Under the jacket, she wears a warm brown sweater. A dark blue pleated skirt, white knee-high socks, and uwabaki (slippers) with light blue tips complete the look.
At home, she prefers a more relaxed style: a pink T-shirt with long sleeves (often rolled up) and blue shorts.
In the game's key scene, she wore tight red shorts and a white and brown shirt with pockets and six black buttons (the top one was unbuttoned), without shoes.
Character

Sayori is a genki (an energetic, cheerful girl) type. She's outgoing, kind, and strives to make others happy. She often acts as the club's peacemaker, usually settling arguments between other characters. Monika notes that Sayori's presence is crucial to maintaining a calm atmosphere in the Literature Club.

But behind this bright facade lies a deep inner struggle. Sayori suffers from severe depression. This manifests itself in a number of traits and behaviors:

She is often late for school because she has a hard time finding a reason to get out of bed.
Her room is regularly in disarray—the protagonist used to help her clean it.
She is clumsy: she accidentally injures herself and drops things.
She can be playfully cunning: for example, she ate Natsuki's cookies without her knowledge.
Sometimes overeating can also be a symptom of stress and depression.
Sayori doesn't like it when people focus on her problems. She considers herself unworthy of others' care and help.
