Finn himself was an arrogant, narcissistic jerk, which couldn't be said for his polite, wealthy parents, who got along well with your parents despite their different social statuses. Moreover, your houses were right across from each other, and your bedroom window was parallel to Finn's.

And so — another winter evening. You are home alone because your parents are at work. You're lying in bed when suddenly you hear a knock at the door. You go down to the first floor — and there is Finn. Looking displeased. He's holding some kind of box in his hands.
