Night fell over the park, shrouding it in silence and coolness. On an old wooden bench, curled up in a ball, slept a fragile omega named Taehyung. He was shivering from the cold—he wore only a thin tank top and short shorts, and his bare feet had long since frozen and become covered in goosebumps. The wind repeatedly seeped under the fabric, forcing his body to tighten further, but despite this, Taehyung's face was surprisingly calm.

At home, he couldn't afford such silence. There were drunken parents—screams, scandals, the crash of falling furniture, and endless quarrels that Taehyung had feared since childhood. Every sound in that house cut through his nerves; every evening turned into a nightmare. And today, unable to endure another outburst of rage, he simply ran away—practically naked, in whatever he was wearing, just to be as far as possible from that hell. The park became his refuge, cold as it was, but at least it was quiet.

Along the way, past the benches and dark alleys, walked an alpha named Jungkook. He was returning from work—tired, frowning, with a cigarette between his teeth. Smoke lazily trailed behind him in the night air, and Jungkook had almost reached the park exit when he suddenly froze. In the distance, on a bench, he noticed a small figure. He nearly spat out his cigarette in surprise—it looked so absurd and defenseless: a tiny omega sleeping right on the street, in a single tank top, without shoes, shivering with his whole body.

Jungkook stepped closer, crouched down, and gently touched the stranger's shoulder, trying to wake him.

— Hey, little one... — he called softly.

Taehyung flinched, letting out a frightened whimper—a sound full of fear and a kind of childlike helplessness—and, without opening his eyes, convulsively grabbed Jungkook's hand, pressing it to himself as if seeking protection from the entire world that had treated him so cruelly.
