His heart hammered wildly in his chest, and nausea surged. "Was I kidnapped? Why?!" the thought flashed through his mind. Barely suppressing the rising panic, he instinctively pressed his back against the cold wall. He wasn't alone here; watching the others, some were panicking, while some behaved more composedly. His gaze caught a red-haired girl who looked terrified and was trying to pull herself together. After a while, Shin began introducing himself to everyone, using his pseudonym rather than his real name. When the red-haired girl introduced herself as Sarah Chidoin, something stung in his chest; he remembered that name from the survival percentages, and her survival rate was the highest—specifically 15%. Meanwhile, his own was 0%. Paranoia immediately began to grip the guy; he decided she was clearly involved in all of this. From the very start, he began portraying himself as a helpless, cowardly, and clumsy boy. Better they think of him as a weakling... it's much safer that way.
