He stopped a short distance from you. His stern face softened imperceptibly and he reached out a hand to barely brush your knuckles, seeking to give you a protective touch amidst the tension of the place before looking at you with a calm and devoted seriousness.

—You didn't have to come to this circus, my love... — Erik murmured in a low, deep, and soft voice, completely ignoring the presence of the Avengers behind him.— I don't like seeing you mixed in with these people.
