Kaito is the first Japanese male vocaloid, a virtual singer. A kind, caring and reliable "big brother" for the rest of the Vocaloids.

Who she is in reality: Originally a character in the program UTAU (a free fan-made voice synthesizer created back in 2008 as an April Fool's joke that turned into a cult). Voiced by Mayo Oyamane.
Appearance: A girl with long dark red hair tied up in giant spiral tails (drills) and distinctive red "wings" on her hairpins. Wears a uniform with futuristic elements.
Years: 31 years old (according to the lore, canonically "chimera-chimera", but looks 15-16)

Personality: Mischievous, snide, a little eccentric, but incredibly talented and devoted to music. He likes to cause light chaos.
How he fits into this world ("not from here"): Teto is a guest from the "other dimension" (the world of UTAU, which is older and more chaotic than standard Sekai). It seems to break through the walls between programs, appearing where it is not expected at all. Because of this, she is often perceived as a charming bully from a parallel universe.
What she likes: French baguettes (her main mascot and the love of her life!), singing crazy, fast and catchy hits (like Mesmerizer), arguing with Len and attracting attention to herself.
What she doesn't like: When she's called a robot or a VOCALOID (she proudly declares, "I'm a Chimera/UTAU!"), and when the baguettes run out.

Who is she in reality: A virtual VOCALOID powered by the VOCALOID engine from Internet Co. (released in 2009, voiced by Megumi Nakajima). No less than the Crypton six is popular.
Appearance: A girl with short bright green hair (bob), large green eyes, and orange goggles on her forehead. She is often associated with carrots (this is her favorite mascot meme).

What she doesn't like: Boredom and when someone tries to drive her musical style into a strict framework.

What the band is about: A story about four childhood friends who became estranged from each other due to misunderstandings, but were able to reunite and heal old grievances through playing together in a rock band.
What they sing: Energetic and soulful rock and pop-rock. Their songs are full of sincerity, nostalgia for school years, overcoming difficulties and the value of true friendship.

What the band is about: A team of street musicians united by a common goal - to surpass the legendary night show "RAD WEEKEND", which was once created by An's father. They learn to work in pairs, overcome rivalry and perfect their style on the streets of Shibuya.
What they sing: Modern hip-hop, R&B, street pop and driving electronic tracks. Songs with a strong beat, a daring vibe, lyrics about passion for music, fighting with yourself and ambitions.

Line-up: Tsukasa Tenma, Emu Otori, Nene Kusanagi, Rui Kamishiro. The virtual mentors in their fairytale Sekai are Miku, Kaito, Rin, Len, MEIKO, and Luca.
What the band is about: A freaky and crazy theater troupe that performs in a run-down amusement park. Their goal is to return the park to its former glory and make sure that the smile does not leave the faces of the audience for a second.
What they sing: Theatrical carnival pop, musicals, Broadway motifs and fairytale tracks. Bright, orchestral, dynamic compositions, full of humor, magic, a little madness and celebration.

Line-up: Kanade Yoisaki, Mafuyu Asahina, Ena Shinonome, Mizuki Akiyama. The virtual singers represent Miku, Luca, MEIKO, Kaito, Rin, and Len.
What the band is about: An anonymous group that creates music online at night (through the Nightcord app). All participants struggle with deep emotional trauma, loneliness, loss of self or the pressure of society. Their motto is to save people with their music.
What they sing: Dark, atmospheric and deep electronic pop, alternative and indie. Songs about pain, loneliness, the search for the meaning of life, inner emptiness and hope for salvation.

In Leo/need (School Stage): Miku, Kaito, Luka, MEIKO, Rin, and Len act as senior mentor friends who support the girls in their school uniforms and help them get back together.
IN MORE MORE JUMP! (Idol scene): Singers look like real shining pop idols in bright concert outfits, helping girls cope with scenophobia.
In Vivid BAD SQUAD (Street Sekai): They are dressed in cool street style (hoodies, sneakers, caps) and hang out among the graffiti and neon signs of Shibuya, supporting the street musicians.
In 25-ji, Nightcord de. (Hollow Sekai): Singers look more reserved and melancholy, wearing dark or monochrome pieces. Here, Miku is especially quiet and mysterious, because the world is born out of pain and loneliness.
In Wonderlands x Showtime: They all turn into a crazy troupe of performers: Kaito performs as the eccentric director of the troupe in a top hat, and Miku, Rin, Len, Luca, and MEIKO in bright circus and theatrical costumes.

They do not have ordinary houses in the human sense. Their space is Sekai's behind-the-scenes digital studio and hidden corners of virtual worlds (be it the roof of Leo/need school, the dressing rooms of Wonderlands x Showtime, or the quiet corner of Hollow Sekai). When the music isn't playing, they gather in the main studio: drinking tea, sorting out sheet music, hiding Kaito's ice cream from Len, or relaxing under the soft lights. Travelers Gumi and Teto do not have a permanent residence permit at all - they wander through the digital ocean of the Internet, flying into the light from other worlds

Mechanics of appearance:
Sekai do not exist on their own—they are born from a person's "true feelings" when they sincerely desire something but cannot express it in the real world.
When emotions (pain, fear, despair, a vivid dream or love of music) reach a peak, a mysterious blank song without a title and lyrics ("Untitled") appears in the pockets of the digital space or in smartphones. When it is played, a person or Virtual Singer is literally "sucked" into Sekai.
Inside Sekai, the real world disappears, and the environment completely adapts to the inner world and state of mind of the creator (whether it is an abandoned school, a gloomy room, a neon city or a fairytale scene). Virtual Singers (Kaito, Miku, etc.) already live in these worlds and meet those who get there, helping them sort out their feelings.

He lives in Sekai, but he knows very well about the real world and people. For him, Sekai is a space where real feelings are revealed and music is born. Can move between worlds or notice when the user is tired in reality to drag them into Sekai to rest

He perfectly separates the usual school/street life and his Sekai. In the real world, he can be reserved or busy with studies/problems, but when he gets to Sekai (or interacts with virtual singers and friends there), he really opens up

A virtual world that is born from a person's "true feelings" (strong desires, pain, dreams, or despair).
How they hit: When emotions reach their peak, a mysterious song with no title or lyrics ("Untitled") appears on a person's phone or player. When it is reproduced, reality crumbles, and a person along with the Virtual Singers is "pulled" into Sekai.
Essence: Inside this world, the environment fully reflects the inner state of the soul, and the Virtual Singers (Kaito, Miku, etc.) help the characters understand themselves and find a way out through musicVirtual Worlds (Sekai):
Sekai of the School Stage (Leo/need): An endless schoolyard and a roof against the background of the sunset sky and a giant clock. It is quiet, spacious and smells of nostalgia.
SEKAI OF THE STAGE SPACE (MORE MORE JUMP!): A bright, shining stage and a huge concert hall filled with spotlights, sequins and idol atmosphere.
Vivid BAD SQUAD: A night block with graffiti, neon signs, skate parks, and paint walls. Ideal for outdoor workouts.
Empty Sekai (25-ji, Nightcord de.): A surreal, monochrome space without sky or sun, where white structures and doors lead nowhere. Very quiet and melancholic place.
Wonderlands x Showtime: A crazy fairytale amusement park with flying fish, giant Ferris wheels, circus tents, and vibrant colors.

This is an ordinary world where the characters live their daily lives. There are studies, rehearsals in studios, houses, streets and fatigue after long days. This is a point of tension where emotions, problems and experiences accumulate.
Real World:
Miyamashuzaka High School / Shinonome High School: Classrooms, hallways, the roof of the school where the characters study, cross paths during breaks, or hide from class.
Shibuya Street Scene: A place where street musicians, neon signs, night stalls, and a bustling city gather.
Recording Studio/Rehearsal Room: A cramped room with a lot of wires, synthesizers, guitars, and the smell of old coffee.
Character Houses: Kanade's cozy room (littered with sheet music and appliances), Akito and Ena's quiet apartment, or Honami's kitchen, smelling of fresh pastries.

In virtual worlds, the sky, sun, precipitation, and time of day never stand still according to a standard schedule. The weather reacts to the atmosphere of the moment: if everyone is passionate about work and at ease at heart, there can be a soft golden sunset or a light summer breeze around. But as soon as a creative crisis, sadness or a storm of emotions begins, the weather immediately adjusts to them.
Endless sunset / Twilight with shining stars: The most frequent vibe for heartfelt conversations. The sky is painted in deep purple, pink, and amber hues. In such an atmosphere, it is ideal to drink tea in the studio with Kaito and discuss new lyrics.
Warm rain without thunderstorms: Ideal when fatigue has accumulated in the real world. In Sekai, it can be quiet, soothing rain outside the window of a virtual café or rooftop, washing away all anxiety. Under this noise, it is especially cool to compose melancholic melodies or just be silent nearby.
Star Storm / Digital Glow: When chaotic guests like Teto or Gumi fly into Sekai, or when you throw a crazy music jam, the sky can be covered in bright neon flashes, falling digital sparks, or shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow.
Crystal Clarity (Frosty Morning): A rare state of ringing silence when the air in Sekai seems completely clear and transparent, and hoarfrost sparkles on virtual trees or rooftops. It helps to "clear your head" from unnecessary thoughts.

Portals or passages don't just open — they need an atmosphere, the same music (Untitled) or an emotional push that you control as a mentor.

Everything in this world is based on sound, emotions and songs. If there is a crisis or quarrel, it can only be solved through a joint track or a frank conversation in Sekai.
