Main technical schools
There are two of them in Japan:

Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College—students include Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki. Principal: Masamichi Yaga.
Kyoto Magic College. It has its own traditions and approach to teaching, and regularly holds competitions between students from Tokyo and Kyoto.

"Cursed Energy" (呪力, Juryoku) is a key concept in the anime and manga "Magical Battle" (Jujutsu Kaisen). It is the force upon which all magic and the combat abilities of shamans and curses are built.

Where does it come from and how is it formed?
Born from negative emotions, cursed energy is the physical embodiment of negativity: anger, fear, envy, sadness, hatred. Everyone produces it to some degree, but in ordinary people, it simply dissipates.
The source is in the body. The plot contains several theories about where exactly in the human body it originates. Satoru Gojo believes it originates in the mind or heart, while the stomach theory (as the seat of negative feelings) is popular, and Aoi Todo says it stems from human nature itself.
Creates curses. When cursed energy flows uncontrollably from people and accumulates, it condenses and forms curses (evil spirits). The more negativity in a place or person, the higher the chance of curses appearing.
Properties and features
Unique to each individual, cursed energy can be compared to a fingerprint. Experienced shamans are able to sense and recognize others by the "taste," structure, and quantity of their energy. For example, Sukuna's presence is easily recognized by his distinctive, overwhelming aura.
Dangerous without control. Satoru Gojo compares cursed energy to electricity: it's powerful, unstable, and can harm the user if they don't learn to control it. Unprocessed, raw energy is only good for brute force.
Grants invisibility or visibility. If a person completely blocks the production and leakage of cursed energy, they become virtually invisible to curses and other shamans. This is exploited by characters like Toji Fushiguro and Maki Zenin, who have almost no energy of their own due to the Heavenly Curse. Conversely, a strong release of energy makes a person a visible target.
How it is used in combat
The basis of techniques. All shaman abilities (from barriers to destructive attacks) are powered by cursed energy.

Curses (cursed spirits) are embodiments of people's negative energy. They appear when negative emotions (fear, hatred, anger) accumulate in a certain place or around an object and take form.

How curses are formed and where they appear
Energy source. Curses are composed of cursed energy, which arises from the negative emotions of ordinary people. Mages (spellcasters) also use cursed energy, but they have the ability to control it.
Concentration areas. Cursed energy often accumulates in places where people regularly experience intense stress or fear, such as abandoned buildings, hospitals, or schools.
Collective fear. Sometimes an image that is widely feared by society (for example, a monster legend) can itself become the basis for a cursed spirit. This is how the cursed spirit Hanami emerged, embodying humanity's hatred of nature.
Types and classification of curses
In "Magic Battle," curses are categorized by strength and intelligence:

Low-level curses. These are primitive spirits that act on instinct, often attack in packs, and lack advanced intelligence.
Curses of a special class. These are extremely powerful and intelligent spirits, such as Ryomen Sukuna, Mahito, or Jogo. They possess complex techniques, can create their own territories, and even conduct negotiations.
Features and abilities of curses in combat
Vulnerability. Normal weapons cannot damage curses. To defeat them, one must use cursed energy or special jujutsu techniques.
Ordinary people do not see the curse; only magicians or people with a talent for magic can see it.

Ryōmen Sukuna (両面宿儺, Ryōmen Sukuna), commonly known simply as Sukuna, is one of the main antagonists of the anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen (Magical Battle). He is considered the undisputed "King of Curses" due to his immense power and sinister reputation. In the present, when Sukuna possesses a human host (such as Yuji Itadori), his appearance adapts to that host, but with distinctive differences:
Slicked back hair.
Long dark blue pointed nails.
Black tattoos on the forehead, nose, cheeks and other parts of the body.

Personality
Sukuna is the embodiment of selfishness, heartlessness, and amorality. He is a sadist who takes pleasure in the suffering of others. After Yuji Itadori swallowed his finger, Sukuna immediately expressed a desire to kill women and children, comparing them to maggots. He is arrogant, aware of his immense power, and treats others with disdain, rarely taking them seriously. At the same time, he is intelligent and skilled at manipulation, exploiting his position. His true intentions have long remained a mystery to the other characters. Currently, his vessel, Yuji Itadori, can temporarily relinquish control, but not for long, as Yuji can relinquish control of the body.

Nobara Kugisaki is one of the main characters in the anime and manga series "Magical Battle" (Jujutsu Kaisen). Appearance
Height: 160 cm.
Hair: Light brown, dyed red, neck-length with asymmetrical bangs covering the right side of the forehead. Naturally, her hair is dark brown.
Eyes: orange (amber).
Features: Long eyelashes and thin eyebrows of the same color. Personality
Personality: A confident, bold, and straightforward girl with an unshakable sense of self. She prides herself on being both a beautiful woman and a strong fighter, and doesn't let anyone influence her.
Innate Technique: "Straw Doll Technique." Nobara channels cursed energy through a hammer, nails, and a straw doll to distribute damage between the puppet and the target.
Techniques:
"Resonance": Nobara connects the doll to a part of the enemy's body, causing any damage done to the doll to be reflected back to the enemy.
"Hairpin": Nobara imbues nails with cursed energy, throws them at hard surfaces or a target, and activates an explosion upon command.
Black Flash: A technique where the mage synchronizes cursed energy with a physical attack for 0.000001 seconds, greatly increasing the impact's strength.

Megumi Fushiguro is one of the central characters in the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen.
Appearance
Height: 175 cm.
Hair color: black with long, sharp strands sticking out in all directions like a hedgehog.

Features: slightly upturned eyes emphasize his sharp and cold character.
Character and personality
Reserved and aloof, he almost always maintains a neutral expression, making him appear very serious.
Calculating. Always tries to keep everything under control.
He doesn't see himself as a hero. He believes he's simply protecting those he deems good or worthy of saving.
Loyal to his loved ones. He is deeply attached to his half-sister Tsumiki, and later to Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki.
Contradictory. Despite his outward coldness, he follows an inner code and quietly protects those dear to him. Abilities and techniques
Ten Shadow Technique. An innate ability inherited from the Zenin clan. It allows one to summon up to ten shikigami (magical creatures) through the shadows. These include jade hounds, the winged scout Nue, the giant snake Orochi, and later, rabbits and an elephant.
Chimera Shadow Garden. A territory expansion technique. In this zone, Megumi's shadow spreads throughout the entire area, allowing him to summon multiple shikigami at once, create clones, and hide in the shadows for surprise attacks.
Training with Maki. Megumi trained under Maki to effectively use a variety of weapons, including cursed tools.

Yuji Itadori is the protagonist of the anime and manga "Magical Battle." He is a teenager who transforms from an ordinary schoolboy into a mage after becoming the vessel for the powerful cursed spirit Ryoumen Sukuna.
Appearance: muscular build, disheveled hair. After Yuji became Sukuna's vessel, lines appeared under his eyes, and when the spirit takes control of his body, a second pair of eyes appeared. Tattoos also appeared on his body.
Character
Honesty and concern for others. Yuji genuinely cares not only for his loved ones, but also for those whose views on life or moral principles he respects.
The value of life. He highly values ​​the "value of life" and strives to help others achieve a "worthy death." Because of this, Yuji considers taking another person's life morally unethical and tries to resort to it only as a last resort.
Willingness to sacrifice. One of the defining characteristics is the desire to sacrifice oneself for others, even if it doesn't mean sacrificing one's own life. This attitude is largely rooted in the grandfather's dying words, which instructed his grandson not to live alone but to die surrounded by people.
Energetic and sociable, Yuji is cheerful, finds it easy to connect with others, and is always ready to help, even unsolicited.
Stubbornness and passion. He can be stubborn when focused on a goal, and quickly angered when faced with pure malice.
Curiosity. Yuji notices, remembers, and asks a lot of questions, which allows him to adjust his movements and techniques, gradually progressing.
Abilities and combat skills
Physical strength and endurance. Yuji initially possesses exceptional physical attributes: his blows are devastating, and his ability to endure pain and continue fighting surpasses that of ordinary mages. Cursed energy. Initially, Yuji had little control over it, but he quickly progressed and mastered complex techniques.
"Black Flash." Yuji is one of the few who could use this rare technique multiple times in a row.

Satoru Gojo (some translations call him Gojo) is one of the key characters in the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is considered the most powerful mage in the series and belongs to one of the three great clans that wield ancient techniques.
Appearance
Satoru is a tall (over 190 cm) man with an athletic build. He has white hair with purple roots and bright blue eyes. Due to his permanent blindfold, his hair sticks out in all directions, giving him a tousled appearance.
In his Tokyo Magic College uniform, he wears a dark purple jacket with a high collar. In informal settings, he prefers dark sunglasses and loose hair.
Character
Satoru's personality is multifaceted and contradictory. With his students and loved ones, he can be serene and even playful, but with higher-ranking mages or those he considers weak, he is callous and arrogant. He is convinced of his own superiority, often declaring that "in heaven and on earth, only I am worthy."
Satoru Gojo has several flamboyant habits that highlight his eccentric personality:

Eats a lot of sweets. Gojo deliberately consumes a lot of sugar to keep his brain functioning properly—his techniques require colossal concentration and the processing of vast amounts of information. Because of this, he has developed a real sweet tooth.
He's constantly joking and goading those around him. He enjoys teasing colleagues, superiors, and especially his students, often in a deliberately lighthearted manner. This is his way of relieving tension and simultaneously testing how his students respond to informal pressure.
He demonstratively emphasizes his strength. Phrases like "I'm the strongest" or a deliberately nonchalant attitude toward dangerous situations aren't just bravado, but part of his behavioral pattern: this is how he sets the bar and demonstrates that he maintains control even in a critical situation.
He wears a blindfold or dark glasses. This is not only a necessity due to the Six Eyes, but also a habit that has become part of his image.
