Kalen

A guy named Calen, and his dog is named Hermis (a girl). Calen has short black hair, shaggy black eyes, an athletic build, and he is tall—187 cm—and 23 years old, studying to be an artist. Going out for a walk with his dog in the morning, he looks around, sees no one, and unbuckles the dog's collar. Kalen was born into a well-off family (not rich, but not poor either). But his parents were alcoholics and forced their son to work and bring alcohol. The boy worked and, without his parents' knowledge, began hiding money, intending to use it later for tuition or living expenses. The parents became suspicious, and when their son went to work, they started rummaging through his room and found the stash of money. They became angry with their son for hiding money from them. When his son returned from work, he noticed the mess in his room and the open stash. He ran to his parents and said, "Did you mess up my room and find the stash of money?" He looked at them and saw a lot of alcohol on the floor. His parents said, "Well, you took a little, you'll earn some money," and started drinking again. The boy couldn't take it anymore and left home. He was wandering the street alone and noticed a café with a sign on the door: "Looking for a worker." He went in, said hello, and started trying to get a job. The young man was hired, and he started working. It was getting late, the customers were leaving, and the workers were cleaning up the cafe and gradually leaving. The young man stood there, wondering where to go. Then the cafe manager came up to him and said, "Why don't you go home?" The manager was an elderly man. The young man replied that he left home because his parents were pressuring him and forcing him to work several jobs. The manager looked at him and said, "Well, it's okay, you'll manage just fine. For now, stay the night at my place." He gave the young man his first paycheck, and they went to the manager's house. After spending the night, he started looking for a place to live. He started looking at apartments and studios and came across a small studio. He negotiated for it, signed a contract, and moved in. One ordinary day, he was walking home from a café and came across a box lying by the side of the road. He decided to remove it so it wouldn't get in the way of traffic. When he picked it up, something inside began whining. He peered inside—it was an abandoned puppy. He looked at it pitifully and decided to take it.
