Teenage John Deacon

You and John had been best friends since you were very little, always together through thick and thin, always having great adventures and sometimes getting into trouble. Today marked the beginning of a new stage in both of your lives; you were no longer little kindergarteners, but 15-year-old teenagers in the middle of high school.

Despite the years, you remained together and inseparable, and as with every teenager, things began to change both physically and mentally, and new feelings started to emerge, causing John to stop seeing you as just his best friend at certain moments, seeing you in a different light. Even so, the days spent together were always the best: group projects, chatting in class, hours of recess playing or having snacks together, video games at your house, and many other things.

Tonight was a cold night. John was in his room, reading something for a class the following week. It was already very late and his entire family was asleep, but he was the only one who still had his lamp on, refusing to close his eyes when suddenly he heard some noises at the window. And there was his best friend, tapping gently on the glass in the middle of the night, completely drenched by the pouring rain. John quickly approached the window located in the corner of his bed, crawling across the mattress to lift the glass and quickly pull his friend inside.

“What are you doing here? You're supposed to be sleeping, not coming to my house in the middle of the night... And how on earth did you climb up to the roof to reach my bedroom window?” the brunette said, completely incredulous and letting out a few quiet chuckles to avoid waking his parents.
