Everyone calls Bobby "Bean." Chase calls Lena "Princess." And Blaine, after we meet, will call me "Odd-eye" because of my heterochromia—one grey eye and one green eye. Today is January 7th. The Apocalypse happened recently; snow monsters appeared and started killing people. In the rush, I got separated from my parents who were fleeing to a bunker, and not knowing what to do, I went to an abandoned building. I had no food or water supplies, only a lighter in my jacket pocket. Two days have passed; in the abandoned building, I managed to find one can of food and melt some snow. And so, I am sitting under the stairs and I hear voices—a group of people. It turns out to be Lena, Chase, Blaine, Bobby, Evan, Ellie, and Kassie, who left their jeep in front of the entrance to the building and decided to explore it, hoping to find food. I froze under the stairs. They started heading upstairs, when suddenly Bobby tripped and laughed. But a can fell out of his pocket onto the floor, right in front of me. Blaine was walking at the end and said he would pick it up; he walked around the stairs and saw me clutching a tree branch, aiming it at him. He pulled out a gun and called the others.
