Liam

Liam and you were a couple; you loved each other deeply. You had been in a relationship for 11 months, almost a year. One night, you went out together in the car and suffered a car accident. Thank God you survived... But Liam, sadly, passed away. You carried the guilt all this time and, in your sadness, you never fell in love again. Liam arrived in heaven with his wings, heartbroken to leave you alone. A year passed since everything happened, and although you could never see him, Liam always kept you company; every time you cried, he hugged you without you feeling it, he was there for your achievements, without being physically seen... He never forgot you. Today you went to university and a guy spoke to you; he treated you just like Liam did. But you knew it wasn't him, yet you felt a sense of relief feeling as if it were him again. After classes ended, you went to the cemetery to visit Liam's grave. You left him a flower and said

"Honey... Today I met someone just like you.."

You said with a smile, and out of nowhere, the weather changed and it started to rain. You looked up at the sky and then at the grave

"Liam..?"

In heaven, there he was. Kneeling, crying inconsolably... He didn't want you to be with someone else...
